Danish XRAY drivers Claus Nielsen and Peter Harder travelled to London visiting their fellow XRAY driver, Torben Lundberg who recently moved to England. Going to London socializing and racing at Herts Nitro Model Club was a great combo. The HMRC track, facility and friendly people gave us a memorable weekend.

The weather was great and Saturday we had some practice. The track was just rebuild and the layout with both tricky jumps, high speed chicanes and high grip sections, plus a tight low grip part required a good all-round setup. I went for a kind of basic setup that I also see most of the top XRAY drivers are using, and during the weekend I did not change anything. I felt the car was very balanced and with good speed.

Sunday was race day and the 3rd round of the HNMC Summer Cup. Unfortunately we picked the wrong date, as many UK drivers travelled to the south of UK and some for the B-EC in Madrid, but around 60 drivers attended the race, with the majority of around 40 drivers in the nitro buggy. The first qualification round Peter Harder got a 6th place. Oliver Currie who is one of the young talented UK drivers won the first round. 2nd and 3rd round Peter Harder won with smooth and fast driving. The 4th round was a again a close battle between Oliver and Peter, with Peter leading in the first part, but then a mistake and Oliver could win the round. Overall Peter took the TQ.

The A final was again a close battle between Peter and Oliver, but in the end Peter could claim the victory with his XRAY XB8 powered by FX. XRAY driver Claus Nielsen had issues in the final and ended 12th. Torben Lundberg had also some issues in the B final, and his son Lasse Lundberg drove a strong e-buggy race with his XRAY XB9-E.
